I’ve always been a fan of versatile items in my wardrobe, especially as I focus on having a wardrobe with fewer high quality staple pieces vs lots of trendy pieces. One of those versatile items are these taupe boots that you have seen time and time again on this blog, which have inspired me to bring back something I use to call “5 Ways Fridays“! For 2021, I am rebooting the concept as “Versatile Fridays” with today being about how to style taupe boots!
Before I jump in, I wanted to give a quick lil update on myself. I’m about 38 weeks pregnant in these pics below and welp, I was trying to serve a fashionable lewk even though I am super pregnant. Funny thing is nothing I am wearing is maternity! The sweater dress stretched enough for my belly, the boots fit well (I didn’t have swollen ankles in this pregnancy like I did in my last so I could still wear the same shoes! woo hoo!). While I’ve been pregnant in maternity dresses, I have been saving all of these fashion looks that I have been loving and it has made me really excited about getting back to non-maternity clothing once baby is born! So stay tuned!
Now on to how to style taupe boots!
1. Styling taupe boots with a sweater dress: Pairing taupe boots with a sweater dress during the Winter months seems functional but also sleek. I paired mine with this dark green turtleneck dress, but other colors that go nicely with taupe are cream, burgundy, or other earth tones.
What I’m wearing: J.Crew turtleneck sweater (sold out, but similar here) | Marc fisher Boots (sold out, but similar here and here) | Brown fedora (similar here)

2. Styling taupe boots with a loose short dress: The last time you saw these boots was when I did a collaboration with Vanessa from V Style Blog. We both styled taupe boots in our own way. I LOVED this look because the boots are so structured but the chiffon dress I paired it with had so much movement! I had also previously worn the boots with a shirt dress in that same nature.
What I’m wearing: H&M Chiffon Dress (similar here) | Marc fisher Yuna Boots (sold out, but similar here and here)

What I’m wearing: H&M floral shirt dress (sold out, similar here) | Marc fisher Yuna Boots (sold out, but similar here and here)

3. Styling Taupe boots with jeans: I feel like one of the easier ways to style over the knee boots in general is with a pair of jeans. Here are two different ways were I styled taupe boots with jeans, one with a sweater and the other with a sherpa jacket.
What I’m wearing: Chunky sweater (similar) | Plaid Scarf | Quay High Key sunglasses (here)| Marc fisher Yuna Boots (sold out, but similar here and here)

What I’m wearing: Sherpa bomber jacket | White tunic | Old Navy light wash jeans | Marc fisher Yuna Boots (sold out, but similar here and here)

Let me know which way of styling it is your favorite!
