Who says that at over 35 weeks (now 38 eek) you can’t get glam? Even if just like me, you glam up for a birthday home photoshoot and don’t actually go anywhere because #pandemiclife *womp, womp* In the process of shopping for this dress I saw SO many elegant and glam maternity dresses that would be good for a maternity photoshoot, attending a wedding, being your baby shower dress or like me your birthday celebration dress (rounded up for you below)!

You will notice that the dresses I chose are not your typical maternity dresses (those stretchy light blue or light pink ones – nothing wrong with that since I wore one during my first baby’s maternity shoot). These are dresses that look like those elegant non-maternity dresses you would usually buy for a special occasion, but modified to glam your beautiful baby bump!

If you follow me on Instagram (under @lilbitsofpau) I shared these pictures on my birthday on January 21st. It was a last minute little photoshoot I decided to do, in between work meetings and while I had Julian running around! Julian jumped into a couple of pictures (below) without me even asking which was the cutest thing! Since I didn’t have an official maternity shoot this time, all of these little photoshoots with the bump that I’m DYI’ing are really helping document the growing bump! As of today (38 weeks) she is the size of mini watermelon!
