As soon as I make the Disneyland Reservation, I start thinking about what theme we want our Disney outfits to revolve around! This time we went with these cute family coordinating outfits for California Adventure Cars Land!

Why Cars Land you may ask?
Because in one of our recent trips we went on Radiator Springs Racers and my son became obsessed with the Cars. He came home and watched all of the Cars movies and even the mini series on Disney+. He even got my daughter to watch, so now they are both familiar with the scenes and characters at Cars Land. We knew that at their next Disney trip they were going to be invested and wanting to spend more time in Cars Land (we would usually just do a couple of rides and move on to the other areas of California Adventure).

How I plan Outfits
To plan our outfits, I start by visualizing and laying it out on a Canva collage (pictured below). Since my husband is low maintenance, all I have to worry about is a tee shirt which he then pairs with his choice of jeans and cap. The kids and I are another story! I need to plan a whole ensemble from shoes to cap or ears or crowns for each of us!
For the most part I didn’t want us to be identical, instead focusing on coordinating the colors and prints. In our case, it was Lightning McQueen, touches of red and gingham. Above all, everything MUST be comfortable (as we walk up to 20k steps a day) and weather appropriate! The good thing is that it turned out to be a warm day that aligned with what I had already planned for, however I was ready to switch out the shorts to pants if needed!
If you are at Cars Land in California Adventure make sure to go the area in front of Flo’s cafe at sunset, they light up Cars Land while playing “Sh-boom” by The Chords and people start a dancing circle, it’s really cute!
