This year I decided to change up my Holiday decor and instead of doing the ornate Christmas decor (as seen here), I opted for the simple and elegant holiday decor. After 4 years of using the same Christmas tree (which I still highly recommend by the way!) I managed to snag the “viral Home Depot tree” which has 2250 lights that go from the warm white sparkle effect to multicolor all with the push of a button on its remote control! Since the new Christmas tree set a more natural tone I really wanted the rest of the living room’s decor to be cohesive, so here is the outcome!
Section one: The Viral Home Depot Sparkling Christmas Tree
In late October, I was seeing this beautiful sparkly Christmas Tree all over Tik Tok. When I went to look it up it was already sold out from being delivered but still in store so that same day I picked it up from my local Home Depot store. Yes I did hesitate at first because of the price, but since I’ve been using the same $79 Christmas tree from Walmart for the last 4 years I figured that I wasn’t paying all that much #girlmath. Plus, I’ll be using this tree for as many years as it gives me.
I decided to do simple ornaments where the lights can reflect off of them in green, brown and gold. I found this awesome ornament set from Target and mixed it with the bigger rose gold ones I already had.
Section 2: Welcoming Simple and Elegant Entryway
Step into our home through a welcoming entryway that is decorated to complement the new Christmas Tree. Since I just had the flocked garland from last year, I bought a new one that can go over the entryway’s circle mirror. I found this pre-lit LED natural looking garland at Michael’s and layered two to make it look fuller. I also picked up this “antique gold” ribbon that comes in a pack of three sizes to put ribbon on the ends of the garland. In the entryway, a console table serves as a canvas for an array of holiday treasures, but I tried to keep it simple with just a few Holiday decorations.
Section 3: The Heartwarming Elegant Fireplace
Moving inside the living room, the fireplace becomes the focal point—a symbol of hearth and home. I updated our fireplace Holiday decor by getting some new realistic looking garlands. I found this Cedar garaland at Michael’s and had to layer two of them so that it may drapes elegantly across the mantel. One of the things I brought back is this Santa Figurine that I have had for over 5 years+, because it’s timeless and somehow always matches whatever theme I choose. It is sold out but JCPenney still carries an array of these Santa figurines in different themes and colors.
Section 4: Cozy Couch Comfort
Our journey concludes in the heart of our living space—the couch area, where comfort and style harmonize. To refresh our throw pillows and have them go with the rest of the Holiday home decor, I picked up some new pillow covers (to go over our existing pillows), that way I can easily remove them after the Holidays. I also picked up this green and cream plaid throw that tied all of the pillow colors together.
In conclusion, I feel like our elegant and traditional decor stands as a testament of timeless style. As we gather with loved ones and make traditions with our kids to celebrate the season, the warmth and grace of our holiday decorations become an integral part of the memories we create together. May your own celebrations be filled with the joy and sophistication that define this special time of year. Cheers to a season of elegance, tradition, and the magic of the holidays!
