I’ve tackled Spring and Summer wedding guest outfit option ideas, but realized I haven’t really talked about fall wedding guest attire! Now that we are officially in fall and I have a couple of weddings to attend I felt compelled to put together today’s blog post.

The key differences between the seasons are weather, color palettes and also the shape of the outfit. During Spring I usually go for pastel colored dresses, while in Summer I like a brighter pop or a basic navy blue/black color, but during fall I crave jewel tones (burgundy, navy blue, dark green), metallic pops, fall florals and/or elegant prints.

I recently shared this dress on Instagram and I got so many comments and DM’s on it! I then wore it to the March of Dimes Chef’s gala and literally had women asking me where I got it from and writing down the website. A key factor in deciding what to wear is where the wedding you are attending is taking place (outdoor, indoor, destination). When getting your dress make sure you have or get a layering piece that would go well with it like a faux fur coat, or a sleek blazer for when it gets chilly or when you are leaving the part-ay. I’ve also mentioned this in one of my other wedding guest posts but I’ll mention it here again, make sure you take comfortable shoes OR some flats in your purse especially if you like to hit the dance floor like I do.
