When I find new pieces for my wardrobe I typically have a checklist that runs through my head before I purchase- is it chic? is it versatile? is the quality good? is it affordable? and is it flattering? Yes I know, that’s a whole lot of questions, but at this point I just want to make sure the piece is not one-and-done wear and then it just takes up space in my closet! Today’s outfit is a collection of pieces that all passed that line of questioning and came together beautifully to make a casual, yet elegant outfit!

Where you can wear this outfit to…
This outfit all started with this blouse (if you’re interested it’s linked here and ON SALE so hurry because it’s selling out!) It gave me total preppy chic Summer vibes and mentally transported me to The Hamptons (although I’ve never been- ha!) When paired with a lightweight white blazer like this one, it is perfect for a lunch date or lunch meeting! I will point out that this blazer has passed the versatility test because I have worn it over and over and over, which can also be said for the rest of the outfit (repeat wearer offender right here!) For what it’s worth, Tuy and I found this little Hampton-esque spot in front of Chez Loma, a charming French restaurant in Coronado with the aesthetic to match this look.
Is it flattering?
I have prioritized the “is it flattering” question because pieces that use to look good on me before baby don’t look the same anymore. In case you don’t follow me on Instagram, I’m currently on a journey of actively trying to lose the baby weight + define my post-baby body through eating better and being more active. Julian is now a year and a half old and I’ve realized that at this point it’s not about “getting my body back” but more about redefining what my best body is now. Post-baby I’m curvier, therefore I have noticed that I keep getting pieces that hug my curves, yet are not too revealing and really do flatter my new body shape. So when it came to this top, the the tie in the middle where I could cinch my waist, and the structure of the shirt, it all made for THE perfect top.
This is such a beautiful outfit. I absolutely love that top.
The outfit looks really versatile. Good job!
