Lafayette 148 New York showcased their SS18 collection that was inspired by women artists and in keeping with the theme they had fashion illustrator Deanna First at the end of the runway doing live sketching of the looks. She even sketched me, keep reading to see!
SHOP THE COLLECTION
I was recently introduced to Lafayette 148 New York, a 22 year old company that makes their beautiful, high quality clothes in-house: from the knits to the jackets to everything we saw walk down the runway. All of their pieces are elegant, versatile and ageless- I can see women of all ages and sizes wearing their beautiful clothes! Seeing as this collection was inspired by art, it literally felt like each piece was a work of art in itself with an air of sophistication.
For the presentation I wore their Adina Gingham Midi Dress paired with their Bria Finesse Crepe Jacket. I loved having my gingham moment because it’s a huge trend this spring, however the cut and quality of the dress allows me to wear the trend in a refined way especially with the crisp blazer.
We sat around the white carpet runway and were able to see their beautiful artful collection up close. The flowy dresses and neutral color palette made me crave a nice resort vacay… A girl can dream right?!
And here is the illustration that Deanna First did of lil ol’ me in my outfit! She sketched it out right before my eyes! All in all, I had a wonderful fashion-filled afternoon and I want to thank Lafayette 148 New York for the invitation!
