First of all thank you to all that read my NYFW recaps Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3! As you could tell, the days were insane, lined up with shows which was super enjoyable, but so were the “off hours” away from the chaos of fashion week and with my friends and cousin.

Before it felt like fall in San Diego, I got to experience it in New York while in Fashion Week and it felt great to bring out the outerwear that had been on standby for the colder weather sooner than I thought! I’m so happy that I brought this blouse, skirt, cardigan, and boots, all from the cabi fall collection, as it was the perfect NYC in fall weather outfit.
As y’all know I love me some cabi, especially because I can mix and pair their pieces with ease and transition their looks from day to night. Their design team (which I met during cabi Blogger Day here) has such a great eye for fashion, pattern and detail and I always think of their thought process when I wear cabi pieces. Like this skirt in the ponte material that looks sleek but is so comfortable, and the cardigan that is cut in such a flattering way, yet is so cozy. Also, cabi didn’t start making shoes until recently and since they did they have been hitting it out of the park- I mean look at these booties!
One of the most notable evenings away from Fashion Week was meeting up with my other friend Tanya and grabbing drinks with the girls at Catch NYC. I met Tanya when she was a fellow blogger in San Diego and then as she transitioned into PR. When I started thinking about going to fashion week, being that I knew nothing, I consulted with her because she works shows on the PR side and she was SO generous with her info and guiding me. It was so nice to catch up with her and hearing about all the exciting things she’s got going on.
My cousin, Tuy and I then went to Fig & Olive for dinner, which interestingly enough was a place my bestie and I went to for dinner like 9 years ago *memories* and then headed up to Midtown to hang out at a couple of rooftops, somehow we ended up at “Magic Hour” at the Moxy Hotel and it was PRETTY fun! It felt weird being away from the baby, but it was fun having a drink in my hand, singing along to some songs I’m used to listening in my car on my way to work and dancing while having the Empire State Building within eyesight.
