Day 3 was my last day at NYFW and I know you might be thinking you saw other bloggers go up to Day 5-6, but I had to keep my trip short because I couldn’t be away from my baby that long! I think 3 days was perfect- I got a feel for NYFW, learned a lot about what to expect in the future and of course I got to check it off my bucket list!
This day’s outfit felt more like my personal style – chic. Even my my cousin and Tuy commented that it was very me when I put it on. To give you an idea, if I had to pick a Sex and the City character’s style that I identified with the most it would be Charlotte- girly and classic! I also wanted to point out that this is a dress! I know I bamboozled everyone that said “love the skirt!” well ladies and gents, this is a top and skirt! And it’s currently on sale if you’re interested- under $40 now here.

To set the scene of this day, it was raining…all day. First show of the day was Nonie over at Industria. I did stand outside for a few minutes, in the rain and with no shame, used my blazer to cover my head because I didn’t have time to buy an umbrella.
Nonie
Canadian fashion designer Nina Kharey showed her collection Nonie for the first time at NYFW. Nonie recently gained more popularity when Megan Markle stepped out in one of her customized trench dresses. That trench coat structured appeared in re-imagined ways in her ready-to-wear Spring/Summer 2019 collection. Her collection was a great mix of structured and flowy satin pieces all in monochromatic looks ranging from white to dark blue to black to then more bold colors towards the end. The whole collection was sleek, clean yet elegant.

Post-Nonie Show I chatted with my friend Kali for a bit since it would be the last time I would see her in NYC, then went to get myself a coffee and seek refuge from the rain at a cute little Italian Restaurant called Malaparte. I also killed some time before I had to head to Spring Studios for the next show which was Just In XX.
Just in XX
Also known as Just in Case, designer Justin, Yu-Ying Cho debuted his new Just in XX label at NYFW with his collection named “#F@$HITION“. His aesthetic is “East cultural bond with western structures” or as I saw it high-end, artistic street wear. After the third look, rapper ØZI took the runway to perform, as his songs were used during the whole show. Then just like that the show resumed with more statement looks infused with references of social media (hashtags, @ earrings, to name a few).

And so my last official day at NYFW concluded, however the rain did not! I headed back to hang out with my cousin and we walked (with an umbrella this time) over to Times Square to do some shopping. This was my fifth time in NYC so II feel like I’ve done all of the touristy things, but it was awesome to catch glimpses of Times Square and see One World Trade Center in a distance. Stay tuned as I share my off duty style and what we did after hours!
