I shared in this blog post (here), that one of my blogging goals for 2018 is to network and reconnect with the local San Diego blogging and business community (especially after taking a break last year to focus on my pregnancy and my son). Well, I’m happy to report that I have been kicking butt in the networking department and wanted to share the networking love to any of you San Diego ladies by inviting you to an upcoming event!
In the last couple of months, as I made my way through several blogging-related networking events and would share it on Instastories, I kept receiving messages from fellow local bloggers asking how I get these invites and I kept responding that I would share the next one. So today I am making good on that promise and am sharing an upcoming event that would be perfect for all of my local San Diego business women and bloggers!
If you’re not one of my San Diego readers, but are here for the style post, I got you covered – I’m sharing my outfit details below, a “what I wore” to go network as a style blogger.
About my Outfit: ASOS Floral Dress (here) | Pointed Ankle Booties | LC Lauren Conrad moto jacket (sold out, but similar here) | Ardell Demi Wispies | MAC “Mama Starr” Lipstick | Naked Paletter eyeshadows | Kendra Scott Elisa Rose Gold Necklace
THE EVENT
San Diego Business Babes are putting on this fab event, which is happening on March 6th, from 6:30-9PM, themed “CELEBRATE YOU” at The Point in Mission Bay! If you would like to attend, purchase your ticket HERE and come join us for a fun time!
***GIVEAWAY ALERT: I’m giving away a pair of tickets here!
WHAT TO WEAR TO NETWORK
I think it all depends on who you are networking with and what part of your business you are showcasing/selling. For example, when I network with people in my field of finance I wear business attire, i.e. a business suit or a shift dress with a blazer and pointed low heels because I want to present myself as a working professional. On the other hand, when I’m networking with fellow bloggers and creatives, I’m presenting myself as a style blogger and therefore, I wear an outfit that showcases my personal style. It ultimately depends on what impression you are trying to make! I could go on and on on this topic, so let me know if you’d like me to do a dedicated blog post on this! For now, I hope you enjoyed this post and if you’re local make sure to check out this event next week!
