Ladies and gents, it feels good (and normal) to say the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is coming!!! After covering it for the past 5ish years (minus 2020 bc pregnant during a pandemic life) I wanted to put together this preliminary Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 information post with the tips and tricks I have gathered throughout the years!
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021 Information
Why is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a big deal?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a big deal not only for us usual shopaholics, but also for savvy shoppers due to the highly discounted prices on amazing brands (this year the preview indicated brands such as NIKE, UGG, ZELLA, VINCE, DYSON and NUNA to name a few). Typically when prices are slashed this much it is because the items are from previous seasons, but with the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, it’s the other way around. The sale covers items that are in or ahead of season (think shopping Fall items now), and will go back to full price when the sale is over if it’s still in stock.
When does the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale start and how does it work?
The Nordstrom anniversary Sale starts with a preview on July 6th and then early access opens up to Nordstrom cardholder depending on status (timeline below) on July 12 ! Early access is for Nordstrom credit card or debit card holders only! You can open a card now, but I ONLY recommend that if it’s in your budget! If you don’t have a Nordstrom Card do not fret, your chance at the sale starts July 28 when it opens to everyone.

- July 12-17 Icon Nordstrom Cardholder Early Access
- July 14-27 Ambassador Nordstrom Cardholder Early Access
- July 16-27 Influencer Nordstrom Cardholder Early Access
- July 28-August 8 Sale Open to Everyone
TIPS:
- Download the Nordstrom App!
- Make a wishlist! Check out the sale preview July 6 and start a wishlist to see if there’s anything you need to snag when you can shop the sale (especially because the popular items and sizes tend to sell out). I know because of the amount of items it can be overwhelming, so if you help or inspo make sure to come back to my blog (I will have a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale section) and also follow me on my LTK account as I will be posting what I’m getting and recommending there!
- Prioritize your wishlist! Think about any specific items or categories (i.e. a car seat, a hair dryer, etc) that you want to shop for and go directly in there when the sale goes live. I purchased two nuna RAVA car seats for my kids on this sale because the price was amazing for nuna which rarely goes on sale!
- Have your Nordstrom Rewards, debit or credit card logged in and ready to go when the Early Access sale goes live. Also make sure to be earning rewards points on what you buy!
- And for all of my budget conscious homies, set your budget so that you don’t have any buyer’s remorse!
