After being confined to my house last Summer, I intend to thoroughly enjoy this Summer by the pool and/beachside so I started stocking up on Stylish and Flattering Swimsuits! Also, I’m a few weeks into postpartum and am giving myself grace in easing back into working out, so I’ll take all of the flattering aspects of a swimsuit I can get! Side note: The below pictures were pre-pandemic, pre-having baby number 2! We went to Puerto Vallarta at the end of 2019 and I’m so glad we got that last vacay in before the pandemic and baby number 2.

What I like about swimsuits that make them flattering:
- Bust Support: After breastfeeding Julian and currently breastfeeding Capri, I am all about that bust support preferably with underwire! There are some that have built-in cups and while I appreciate that I have found that the underwire cups just keep the girls together!
- Tummy control: I found that thinner fabric swimsuits may be more cost effective BUT were not forgiving on my body. I bought my first all over slimming swimsuits with a tummy control panel and it made the price totally worth it. It felt like Spanx in swimsuit form!
- Rouching: When all else fails, get one with rouching, it makes the swimsuit so much more flattering, especially on curvy bodies like mine!
What I like about swimsuits that make them stylish:
- A solid color swimsuit especially a black one doesn’t go out of style and can be styled in so many ways (like with a leopard skirt how I did here). A bright color swimsuit is always fun in Summer like this hot pink one I wore with denim shorts!
- One shouldered swimsuits are a fun stylish take.
- Cutout swimsuits are a good way to dabble in two pieces without having to wear actual two pieces!
