This year I was totally distracted with mommy duties to plan a birthday celebration, but over the weekend I ended up rounding up my close family for a low key lunch! To coordinate with the low key festivities, I wore jeans and this fun frilly sleeved top from Tobi paired with these cute accessories: these black and white dangly earrings that complemented the off the shoulder top, and a pop of color via this new gorgeous lip color I received from Pixi last week that matched my Libby Edelman heels.
In case you missed it on Instagram and Instastories, I shared the funny story behind my push present. My hubby didn’t even believe in a push present to start with, but I would still joke around with him that I wanted a nice handbag for enduring pregnancy and labor. He would always respond with “yeah right” until he saw me “push” out a 9 lb+ baby in the span of 4 painful hours (as I shared in my baby’s birth story) and when he saw our son finally latch on to feed, he said excitedly, “ok let’s go get your Louis Vuitton!” (btw, he totally mispronounced Louis Vuitton when he said it, like a total man’s man) So on my birthday, I made him take me to get my push present and the one pictured is the one I chose.
I chose the Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in the monogram because I wanted a big bag that could carry my big camera and other baby stuff and a bag that wouldn’t go out of style (I mean, if you’re paying that much you have to make sure it’s a classic!).

It was nice to have lunch with the fam and cheers with a virgin strawberry margarita (since I’m still breastfeeding) to another year of life. I have a lot to be thankful for, especially as I celebrated my first birthday with my son who has been the greatest gift in life. Hope you all have a great weekend and I’ll see you back here next week! Don’t forget to enter my Pixi Giveaway here!
