A lot of things have happened since my last Insta-Lately– getting engaged was one of them! The shock is starting wear off and the planning mentality is starting to trickle in (hence my new pinterest board “Wedding Planning“). ANY advice from new brides or brides to be (tips, planning tools, etc) PLEASE let me know if the comment section below!
Another momentous event happening in a couple of weeks is moving into a new work building. By “new” I mean built from the ground up with a new gym, cafeteria and get this- our own Starbucks! I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more on my Instagram when I move in (hopefully a good selfie mirror will arise) but for now here’s the sneak peek:
#Foodstagrams
Then there’s food, food and more food. I’ll be the first to admit I’ve been on an eating rampage and now that’s come to a halt. I not only want to get back to my optimal figure for the wedding events, but for health’s sake. Any fitness tips? leave them below for me! I’m about to try everything and anything to get in shape! But first, let me reminisce and drool!
Hmmm Carne Asada…
I will miss you crunch lobster roll… (iSushi)
Good bye Bristol Farm Desserts!
Seasons 52 you were good to us…
Stacked, Fashion Valley- you are delicious!
#Hustle2014
Which brings me to my next item: Hustling (because fitness is always on that list). A few years back my best friend Sarai and our friend Carly got together to do some goal-setting because we were all motivated and had many plans- we named it our “hustle lists”. We wrote it all down, shared it with each other and more importantly, followed up with each other at the end of the year. Fast forward to 5 years later and we have seen each other accomplish so much in the time we have been consulting. I’m not only proud of them, but of myself and in honor of that when I saw these gold lettered hustled posters on Etsy I sent them each one for us to hang up as a reminder of our “hustle”.
Among the many things on my hustle list is to read books. I have this bad tendency of starting books and not getting around to finishing them. I’m happy to report I finally finished “The Happiness Project” which aided my goal setting because it was about making goals linked to what makes us happy. Next up: Finishing Lean in by Sheryl Sandberg (the COO of Facebook) which is about empowering women to become leaders in the workplace (since our world lacks them). I was convinced to pick this book up when I listened to a couple of her TED talks here if you want to check it out.

Pau
Aww congrats on your engagment! How exciting! Wedding planning is a lot of fun but can be super stressful so just remember to take it all in and have fun! And don't let others influence your decisions, remember this is YOUR and your future husband's day. 🙂 That's what I kept telling myself when I was planning our wedding. haha..xo – Sheilawww.sheislovelyblog.com

Congrats on your engagement! I'm engaged as well and will be married in July. I gave up on wedding planning after 2 weeks so I'm sorry I'll be no help lol. We're having a really simple ceremony and then a party with our families the next day. It'll be fun and low key. Hope your wedding day turns out to be the most amazing day ever 🙂
What an exciting time for you Pau and you're going to have so much fun planning your wedding although it's definitely a lot of work so any advice I think of, I'll let you know. For me, making decisions faster rather than dwelling on little details helped a lot because there are so many little tiny things to remember. Also, get the Real Simple wedding checklist. I love your Hustle pic too and the story behind it! Keep up the great work.xoDalewww.savvyspice.com
