Thank God it’s the weekend! I’ve had a super busy week at work as I had to meet a big deadline yesterday. I worked through lunches so that I could escape early on Wednesday to attend my 5th Opening Day at the Del Mar Racetrack (oh the sacrifice!)
Opening Day is one of those San Diego staples where we can all head down to the racetrack in our big hats (or fascinators), enjoy the races and bet on some horsies! This year a new record was reached with 46,588 attendees! Two of those were me and my boo. I’ve worn the big hats in the past as I had showed on this post, so this year I wanted to do a bright fascinator and a simple dress. I was inspired by the Royal Wedding, however I didn’t want an outrageous fascinator like the one Princess Beatrice wore! ha ha. I originally was going to make one, but I stumbled upon this cute one at a local shop and voila there you have it 😉
