One of the biggest style dilemmas around the Holidays is what to wear for Family Holiday Pictures, especially when you want to coordinate as a family. In today’s post I am sharing some of my family pictures and outfits from years passed and some that I want to try this year as a family of four to give you some ideas!
What to wear for Family Holiday Pictures Tips
Tip 1: Have a Coordinate on color or print, or both! We had our Holiday pictures professionally taken by Natalia Denz Photography a couple of years ago and for our outfits my husband wore this plaid print shirt so I decided to draw from its green and red colors to pick out my dress and my son’s sweater. This green sweater dress is back in stock here! It’s such a great dress for the Holidays!
Here is another example of coordinating prints and colors! Tip: If you are going to match prints as a family I would suggest having less than 50% of the family in one print to not overdo it. Here only the kids were matching prints in the very popular buffalo plaid. My husband and I coordinated them by wearing black and dark tones, and of course I had to do a red lip to match!
Tip: Wear a coordinating texture, like velvet! In addition to coordinating on the color scheme, for the outfits below I decided to coordinate textures with a green velvet blazer and my son’s green velvet bowtie! You can see the whole set of pictures in this post!
