As I sat down to think about what moms really want for Mother’s Day I realized that the things I personally wanted most were not of monetary value. It goes without saying that right now is an incredibly challenging time for parents (and single parents, my heart goes out to you). While yes, the silver lining in this “shelter-at-home” time is that we get to spend time with our kids, see them grow and develop before our eyes, it doesn’t mean that it is not hard and that we as mothers don’t struggle. We do. I do. Pre-COVID we were already wearing lots of hats but now our roles have exponentially grown to home school, take care of, feed, entertain, work, etc all on our own without the help of the “village” we always say it takes to raise children. So back to what I want for Mother’s Day, this is what I would be happy with and I know many moms out there would too so to help all of us I put it into cute coupons that you can save to your phone and send to your significant other, teenager or any other able person who can carry this out now or later!

What Moms really want for Mother’s Day:
- Sleep-in: Just typing it out makes me yearn for it. For me my mornings always start with an abrupt wake up time of about 6 with an alarm named Julian who starts yelling “mamaaaaa! dadaaaa!” and does so repeatedly until one of us responds.
2. Me time for an uninterrupted 2 hours: keyword UNINTERRUPTED. What I wouldn’t do in those 2 hours! Watch a show, do my nails, sip some wine… just knowing that at any moment a toddler will not be demanding a snack is a moment long enough to savor.
3. Breakfast and Coffee in bed: Now we’re getting somewhere, a girl can dream right?
4. Having the dishes washed for the day: This one is perfect for teens, I don’t have any but if I did I would definitely make them work on Mother’s Day.
