One less thing to worry about this Summer with Nestle NIDO

With Summer just around the corner, we are so excited to be doing so many summer activities with him that we didn’t get to do last year because he was too little and wasn’t walking or talking. Fast forward to now, he is this thriving little human that says words, laughs out loud, gets on the couch on his own, changes the channel, looks through books, says new words all the time, and runs around in his little sneakers. So it’s no surprise we are lining up this Summer with day trips to the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, the San Diego County Fair, and a couple of 3-day road trips to have family time, make memories and stimulate his brain. But with Summer activities and trips comes the hectic frenzy, as if being working parents to a 1 and a half year old wasn’t hectic enough! Planning the day(s) is one thing, but packing and ensuring you have all of the baby’s necessities is a whole other ballgame! There have been trips where I forget a whole bag of baby necessities and we had to turn back (added an extra hour to our trip)! With so many things to worry about, one thing I don’t have to worry about is Julian getting his vitamins and minerals in because of NIDO® Kinder 1+ Powdered Milk Beverage. NIDO knocks two birds with one stone: 1) My child’s nourishment and 2) Portability. Nestle NIDO blog post

About NIDO

NIDO Kinder 1+ is a powdered milk beverage specially formulated for growing 1-3 year olds (there are different NIDO products depending on age). It has a tinge of honey flavor (which Julian loves because he has a sweet tooth) that contains 13 vitamins and minerals to support healthy growth and development. For complete details about the vitamins and minerals included, you can visit the NIDO website. NIDO also has NIDO Kinder 1+ Lacto Ease for toddlers who are lactose sensitive. Just knowing that Julian is getting in his vitamins and minerals gives us peace of mind especially during this time of his life where he is a sponge learning something new every day! Aside from the healthy benefits, the portability has been a huge benefit for us as a family on-the-go. Let me tell you how we used to pack for day trips to overnight trips. We used to have a lunch box with ice packs dedicated to his milk and then we would worry that the milk would go bad especially during all-day trips or long road travel. Plus, the ice packs are heavy and they melt into a jelly bag so they were very inconvenient. Now when we pack, we simply take our NIDO container (it comes in different sizes so we’ll take the smaller one for day trips or the bigger one for longer trips), water and a sippy cup! With NIDO you simply fill 1 cup (8 fl. oz) of warm water, add 4 scoops of NIDO and mix – that’s it! One less thing to worry about.

A convenient way to shop NIDO

Talking about a family on-the-go, you can pick up NIDO at Walmart in store or via my new favorite method: Walmart Online Grocery! As a working mom, time to run errands practically doesn’t exist. Grocery shopping used to occur in mini episodes when I found a minute, or we would bring Julian down which was a whole production, but I recently tried the Walmart Online Grocery option for our NIDO and the rest of our groceries and it was amazing! I simply go on the computer, find my nearest Walmart and add the groceries I need to my cart (there is a minimum order of $35 but we got our week’s groceries so that wasn’t an issue for us), then when you check out you schedule your time slot for pick up at our nearest location. There is a Walmart Grocery App and they notify you when your order is ready. You check-in as you head to pick it up and when you arrive at the store there are signs and designated parking spots! We parked, and through the app I was able to notify the Walmart employee what parking spot I was in as well as the color of my car, and within 10 minutes our NIDO and the rest of our groceries were wheeled out to our car. I think this is such an amazing service, especially when you have kids and don’t want to do the whole production to go into the store.
