Hello Spring!! With Spring knocking on our door and the San Diego sun
already out at play, it’s time to start dabbling into Spring Trends! This
season is not only about the usual pastels and florals, but some fun new (or recycled) ones: the short suit, black and white, and clear accessories. The best part about these trends- they are daring, yet can be wearable!
The Short Suit
The short suit is a chic and playful take on the office outfit and menswear. You can pick from a neutral to a bold colored suit or you can take it to the next level by picking up a patterned short suit which is also very trendy this spring. Whatever short suit you decide to wear this season just make sure 1) you have fun with it and 2) it fits well.
Black and White
This season, the Black and White trend’s emphasis is on the
contrast of the two colors by evolving into bold patterns or clean lines. You
can easily find a black and white striped top or one in the also trendy “windowpane”
pattern to wear with a black pencil skirt. Simpler version: pair that black pencil skirt with a white button-up and you will be ready to stroll
into an office environment or for a cocktail with the girls! Tip: Add that red
lip for a pop of color!
Clear/ Lucite Accessories
Clear or lucite accessories are a modern touch to an outfit and clear goes
with practically anything! Yes, lucite has also made it to chunky heels, in a
tasteful way of course, as it was incorporated in some of the hottest shoes
this season like Michael Kors, Stella McCartney to name a few.
Whatever trends you decide to try this season, make sure to rock it confidently and just have fun with it!
